My Story

Add your author introduction here.

My son was four, and every meal had become a negotiation. I'd bargain, hide vegetables where they didn't belong, promise screen time for "just three more bites." Some nights I won. Most nights I didn't — and I'd sit at the table afterward, wondering how feeding my own child had become the hardest part of my day. Screens had quietly taken over the space that negotiation left behind, and I was losing both battles at once, every single day.

Everything I found online made it worse — perfect meal plans from families who seemed to have it all figured out, rules that assumed a calm I didn't recognize. So I started paying attention differently. Not to what I was doing wrong, but to why my son reached for what he reached for.

What I found changed everything: these weren't failures of willpower — his or mine. They were the predictable result of an environment quietly working against us, without either of us realizing it.

Once I understood the why, I could change the environment instead of fighting the symptom. Meals got calmer. Screens stopped being a daily war. My son and I found our way back to actually enjoying our time together.

Eat Your Green- And Healthy Childhood Series is everything I wish someone had handed me on one of those hard nights — not rules, not guilt, just a way to understand why, and small steps any tired parent in any real home can actually use. Every framework was tested in my own chaotic house first, on my own strong-willed kid, before it ever made it to a page.

If you're here, I want you to know: you are not failing. You're parenting in a world that makes this harder than it should be — and small, informed changes really do work.

This was never about a perfect child or a perfect parent. Just progress, one small step at a time, in the home you actually have.— Prerna
